How We Check Stake Promo Codes Before Listing
A code directory is only worth reading if its labels mean something. This page documents what each label means here, how a code moves between them, and which claims we deliberately do not make.
Where the codes come from
Three sources, in descending order of how much we trust them:
- Our own working list. Strings collected while following campaigns, creator announcements and community threads.
- Reader submissions. Codes sent to us with a note about where they were seen. We list them without endorsing them.
- Public listings. Other directories and aggregator pages. These are treated as leads only, because most of them copy each other and none of them publish a check date.
No source is treated as proof on its own. A listing is reviewed before publication, and reader reports are what move a review date afterwards.
What each status means
Verified. The default for a listed code. The listing was reviewed on the date shown, with the string, its casing and the campaign context compared against the material we track. It is not a promise that the code will work on your account, in your region, tomorrow.
Unverified. Used only for a newly added string before its first review. The label says a review has not happened yet; it does not say the code is fake.
Reported expired. A reported failure was confirmed and the surrounding campaign appears to be over. This label is applied when we can tie the failure to an ended campaign rather than to a typo.
What we will not do
- Invent a bonus amount. If we have not seen the terms screen, we do not print a percentage, a cap or a minimum deposit.
- Backdate a review. The date shown is the date the listing was reviewed, not the date the page was edited.
- Treat an aggregator listing as evidence. Other directories are leads. They are not sources we copy a date from.
- Publish a freshness stamp that is not tied to real work. The "updated" date on the code index changes when the data changes, not on a schedule.
Why a verified listing can still fail for you
Verification covers the listing, not your account. Campaigns end, bonuses change, and eligibility varies by country and account status. A code whose review date is current can still be rejected for a brand-new account in a restricted region, or for an account that already used a code.
That gap is why the date is printed next to every label. It tells you how fresh the review is, and it gives you something concrete to report when the result does not match.
Corrections and reader reports
If you redeem a code and see a result that contradicts our label, that report is the most useful thing you can send us. Include the code, the date, and what the field said. Reports that contradict a label lead to a re-check, and a re-check can move a code in either direction. The contact page has the address, and the changelog records every status change.
